The moon becomes full in the sign of Capricorn at 13 degrees, at 9:44 PM PT/July 5, 2020 12:44 AM ET/July 4, 2020 11:44 PM CT.
As we may very well know, the Full Moon is a time of celebration, reflection, and completion. It’s a time for self-love and appreciation for all the things we’ve been given, have earned, and have worked hard to create since the beginning of the cycle during the New Moon.
And, since the start of June, we have been walking through the Eclipse Gateway *cue mystical sound effects*
During this time, we’ve been shown flickers of a new reality. We’ve been shown what needs to be released, not just from within ourselves, but from the planet and society as a whole. This is the work we’ve been tasked with to make this new reality, well, reality.
Now, we’ve finally reached the last stop on our Capricorn/Cancer Eclipse journey, the Capricorn Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, happening July 4th-5th, depending on your time zone.
This particular Eclipse not only brings an end to the current Eclipse Season, but it also ends the Cancer/Capricorn Eclipse cycle that we’ve been in since 2018.
What was happening for you back in July 2018? What themes and events have come up in your life since then?
These astrological signs will usually bring up themes and lessons regarding your work life (Capricorn) and your personal life (Cancer.) Where have you felt pushed or pulled by the universe in these particular areas? Where have you been called to set boundaries so you can spend more time with loved ones? Or set boundaries so you can spend more time on self-care? Where have you been called to set boundaries to pursue your professional goals? These have been your Eclipse Lessons during this Eclipse Cycle, and the July 2020 Lunar Eclipse is our apex moment!
In addition to the Full Moon Eclipse, some astrological happenings to keep in mind:
The asteroid Vesta - Vesta is going to be close to the Sun during this Eclipse. The asteroid Vesta represents harvest and abundance, and its presence should ensure that this Eclipse energy brings the fruits of our labor into consciousness. Vesta also reminds us of the importance of nourishing ourselves, and this energy will drive home the message that self-care and looking after our health and wellbeing should always be our number one priority.
Mercury Retrograde and Mars - Mercury doesn’t station direct until July 12th, and as we learned from our last reading, Mars just entered its home sign of Aries, where it feels most comfortable. These two influences will definitely add some heat to the Eclipse energy. This will most likely look like emotions rising and bubbling to the surface, especially since we’re still in Cancer season, but just know this is your body’s way of signaling that it needs some kind of release. Practice some self-care by giving yourself a healthy way to purge any heated emotions that come up, and find the inner strength and confidence to speak up and share your truth when it’s called for.
This Eclipse brings a major moment of release for us before we can fully reap the rewards of all our hard work. What are you holding onto that’s no longer serving you? What burdens are you carrying that you’re ready to release to the Universe? This is an especially good time to have a Full Moon Ritual where your intention is to release what’s no longer serving you. The Eclipse energy and the ending of this Eclipse Cycle will make this release super easy. All you have to do is surrender, and trust that whatever is being brought up for release is truly ready to leave your life. Embrace this moment of change with open arms.
You may feel depleted, anxious, or sensitive due to all the energy swirling around you during this time. Please be gentle with yourself, and make sure to take the time to rest and recharge. This looks like naps, journaling, grounding your energy, cleansing your space and aura, taking baths, working with crystals, you name it. Just do your best to care for yourself during this highly energetic and transformative time.
The Reading:
Card 1: What have I created and manifested since the new moon?
Draw: Two of Cups
The Two of Cups represents a deep and powerful connection between two energies. Typically this card represents potential lovers, or a deep bond between friends. In this case, it’s more a representation of a healing of a relationship, a super engaged intuition, and the connection between you and an equally powerful energy. This card represents all the hard work you’ve been putting into healing and strengthening the relationship between you and your higher self. And guess what? You’ve done it! This card also represents the alchemy and magic created by the synergy of two equally powerful forces. When you’re in harmony with yourself, you have immense personal power to achieve your goals. Remember that what you do with all this newfound energy and personal power is up to you. Stay in connection with your higher self, nurture that relationship, and keep acting in alignment with your inner guide.
Card 2: Where am I now?
Draw: Two of Wands
The Two of Wands represents two equally good choices, but the ability and resources to only develop one fully, and well. Or, simply, a choice that must be made. You must decide which direction to go in eventually, or you will lose the opportunity to pursue either of the goals available to you. You already have all the information you need to make this decision. NOW is the time to act. Follow your intuition. Trust your instincts. Tap into the fire power of the suit of wands (and hey, Mars in Aries!) and pick boldly! Be optimistic about your choices! Your fulfilment is imminent! By continuing to act on your intuitive hits, you strengthen your relationship with your Higher Self (Two of Cups above,) and you become a more balanced person. The energy of “I don’t know” begins to leave your life because you, in fact, do know. Your intuition always knows, and the more you trust and act on it, the louder and louder it will become for you.
Card 3: What is coming into my conscious awareness?
Draw: Six of Wands
The Six of Wands represents all things hope, motivation, victory, and renewed potential. You’ve manifested a moment of restored balance in your life. The struggle is over, and you’ve emerged victorious. All the lessons you were to learn during this Eclipse Cycle have been completed. You did it! Take a moment to reflect on your victory, and take stock of all the blessings brought into your life during these Eclipse challenges and changes. Everything that’s happened re: your work life and personal life since July 2018. Remember to use this moment to draw courage and inspiration from during the next challenging phase in your life. For example, the next couple of Eclipses happening in 2020! This year has an unusually high number of Eclipses in it, but there are only two more to go after this one: the Gemini Lunar Eclipse on November 30th, and the Sagittarius Solar Eclipse on December 14th. You’re an Eclipse champion now, so you’ve totally got this!
Card 4: What is no longer serving me?
Draw: Five of Coins
For FOMO: get off social media and ground and center your energy. Unfollow people who make you feel bad about yourself and your life, even if they have a “positive” feed. Have gratitude for all the things you have, and experiences you have had. Remember that what you see on social media is usually a facade. The Five of Coins represents times in our lives when we’re in need, but we refuse to ask for help because of embarrassment or pride. It is important to remember that these moments in our lives are not meant to make us feel shame, but to teach us to accept the present moment without resistance, and to draw on our inner strength to see our reality with clarity. This requires emotional and spiritual strength to stay out of the pits of victimization. The Five of Coins warns against feelings of self-pity, and wallowing in victim-mode instead of putting your big-girl (or big-boy) panties on and handling a situation. You are being called to release these tendencies during this Full Moon. You are being called to identify all the resources you truly have at your disposal, and to ask for help when you need it. If you’re truly suffering, know that you don’t need to go through anything alone. Additionally, this card brings up the possibility of wallowing in loneliness, FOMO, or generally feeling left out of the “mainstream.” If this is the case for you, you’re being called to let ALL that go. You have a specific life path that is unlike anyone else’s. Do some self-care activities and put some boundaries in place to prevent this type of emotional burnout.
If you’re feeling lonely: reach out to some trusted loved ones and have a conversation. We’re all feeling a little lonely and left out due to the global pandemic. I’m sure your friends and family would love to hear from you!
If you’re struggling walking all alone on the “road less traveled”: Know that you’re not truly “alone,” there’s a lot of us out there ;) Ask yourself: do you really want to fit into the “normal life” category? I didn’t think so! Remember why you stepped onto the different path in the first place, and have gratitude for the unconventional life you’re living (or, trying to live!)
Card 5: How can I release and let go of these energies?
Draw: The Magician
The Magician represents faith in the unknown, faith in the magic of the universe, and knowing that you have the power and resources to create anything you want in life. The best way to release feelings of victimhood and self-pity is to remember that you’re an absolutely powerful being who can create anything in their life! You have everything you need inside of you to achieve your goals, create change in your life, and make decisions with ease (Two of Wands.) You have an amazing relationship with your intuition and Higher Self who guides you down this path of life (Two of Cups,) and you always, always, always have the ability to co-create with the universe if you want or need assistance (The Magician.) Remember that The Magician calls us to take inspired action towards our dreams, and then surrender to the universe. Open your eyes to the resources you have around you, (Five of Coins) and use will-power, discipline, and surrender to change your life. This card is all about self-confidence, freedom, and endless possibility. Remember that you are connected to the earthly plain, and the Divine. You have the ability to make any change in your life. All you have to do is start, and the Universe will support you.
Card 6: What additional resources are available to me as I release and let go?
Draw: Nine of Cups
The Nine of Cups represents shared happiness, wishes fulfilled, and good karma This is a moment of complete emotional fulfillment and satisfaction. This card also represents the generosity of giving from your overflowing cup. This card calls you to have gratitude for the events and choices that brought you here to this moment. Know that you have been blessed, and that it is safe to share your abundance with others. As you release and let go of whatever is no longer serving you during this full moon, know that emotional fulfillment and satisfaction are ready to meet you on the other side. If you’ve been working hard to complete these lessons, know that the Universe is always watching, and always listening to the happenings on the earthly plain. Wishes have been heard, and karma notes have been taken. It is safe to release everything that burdens you or weighs on you at this time. Embrace this release with wide open arms, and be willing to share your peace and abundance with others if and when the opportunity arises. When we release what no longer serves us, we create a vacuum in our life that draws in all kinds of goodies. Now is the time to get excited for what’s to come!
Card 7: Affirmation/Energy for the waning cycle
Draw: The Sun
Affirmation: I am at peace. I honor the connection between myself and the universe. I relax and open myself to receiving all the blessings of the universe. I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, and I know that all is well.
The Sun represents absolutely pure joy and happiness. Drawing this card in a tarot reading honestly doesn’t get much better than this, and what a beautiful energy to be calling in for the remainder of this moon cycle, especially after all that release! The Sun card represents total completion, unity, and deep peace. An otherworldly clarity that can be felt deep within your soul. It calls us to recognize our connection with everything and everyone in the universe. This is an invitation to look at yourself and the world in a new light. At this moment, you’re deeply connected to both the earthly and spiritual worlds. This is a beautiful moment of renewal and rebirth. Relax and open yourself to receive, knowing all is well. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Card 8: **JUMPER CARD** - Queen of Cups
A jumper card is a card that literally “jumps” out of the deck when you’re shuffling the deck of tarot cards in preparation for a reading. In these instances, I read the jumper card as an additional message from the universe on top of the regular reading.
The Queen of Cups is the quintessential mother. She’s warm, compassionate, and deeply devoted. She anticipates your needs, and seems to know you even better than you know yourself. She honors your depth, and she’s your fiercest advocate. She holds your deepest fears and biggest dreams safely in her heart. This card represents our higher selves in this reading. She’s asking us to become more loving to ourselves. Sometimes we’re so focused on showing everyone else love that we neglect ourselves. Where can you be more loving and nurturing to yourself in your life? Does your inner child need some love and attention? Where can you be even more devoted to yourself and your goals/dreams? Are there some boundaries that need to be put in place to better take care of yourself? Take some time to sit with yourself and reflect on this relationship with your higher self. What does she need from you? Where can you go deeper in your life? How can you become your biggest advocate? What soul lessons does your higher self have ready for you to tackle next? Exceptional intuition, inner strength, and deeply rooted peace are the gifts you receive for doing this occasionally difficult work. Keep going deeper.
Summary:
Affirmation: I am at peace. I honor the connection between myself and the universe. I relax and open myself to receiving all the blessings of the universe. I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, and I know that all is well.

Lunar Eclipse Ritual
By Emily Bolf November 30, 2020
PARTIAL LUNAR ECLIPSE // 11.30.20
TRANSFORM // Clear past energy and embrace your new journey.
Tonight we have both a full moon and a partial penumbral lunar eclipse - the last of four lunar eclipses in 2020. Lunar eclipses occur when the moon moves through the earth's shadow. These events often mark profound transformations in our lives and can encourage us to let go of things that no longer serve us. When we make space in our lives, new energy is able to flow and bloom.
To tap into the energy of this lunar eclipse, we suggest the following ritual. Feel free to moderate as you wish - the important thing is to do what feels right and true within yourself.
September 2: Full Moon in Pisces
By Nicole Macdonald September 01, 2020
Full Moon in Pisces - Sept 1-2, 2020 10:23 PM PT // 12:23 AM CT // 1:23 AM ET
This Full Moon, as we know, is a time of celebration, reflection, and completion. It's a time for self-love and appreciation. It's a moment of gratitude for all of the things we've been given, have earned, and have worked hard to create since the New Moon. The Full Moon helps illuminate the truth in our lives, expand our ways of thinking, and clear any remaining fog on our path.
This cycle, our Full Moon is in the sign of Pisces. The Sun and Moon oppose one another at the full moon, so we're looking at a Virgo vs. Pisces opposition. Finite, concrete reality vs. Infinite, intuitive ether. The energy of Pisces may have us in a dark, murky, and emotional headspace (stuck in ALL the feels,) but thankfully the practical energy of Virgo should help us to stay grounded in reality, even if it feels like we have to fight to keep our grasp on logical thinking.
Pisces has come to remind us to consider our spiritual and emotional states. If they've been left by the wayside recently, this is your opportunity to release any negative habits around your spiritual and emotional hygiene practices (or lack thereof!) We're being called to find balance in our lives right now between the energies of Virgo and Pisces. This means finding ways to identify and express your spiritual/emotional needs while maintaining order and progress in your everyday lives. If one of these energies is unbalanced in your lives, you'll know it when you see it: it's either excessive orderliness or chaos.
