Full Moon in Aquarius -  August 3rd, 2020 8:58 AM PT // 11:58 AM ET // 10:58 AM CT

This Full Moon, as we know, is a time of celebration, reflection, and completion. It’s a time for self-love and appreciation for all the things we’ve been given, have earned, and have worked hard to create since the beginning of the cycle during the New Moon. Also, the Full Moon helps illuminate the truth in our lives, expand our ways of thinking, and clear any remaining fog on our path.

This cycle, our Full Moon is in the sign of Aquarius. A Full Moon occurs when the Sun is in opposition to the moon. In this case, the Sun is in Leo. The Leo Sun is intensely individual and proud. Leo is definitely not about being part of the team or focusing on communal growth. The Aquarius Moon -- while also quite individualistic and values independence -- heavily values teams, groups, and the collective. The Full Moon illuminates this emotional conflict for us in our lives, and where in our charts we have Leo and Aquarius influences. 

As a reminder, the July 20th New Moon in Cancer was opposite Saturn, which may have caused some restrictions and even hardship over the last couple of weeks in pursuing your goals. A serious attitude and hard work were needed, as well as deep focus, determination, and persistence. This Full Moon in Aquarius is square Uranus. This energy will likely bring us unexpected changes that could be emotionally upsetting or cause our lives to feel unsteady. Keeping an open mind and fully surrendering to this universal shake-up will help you adapt to the changes more quickly, plus keep you open to new or exciting opportunities that now have the space to manifest in your life. In addition, Mercury opposition Saturn, which happens simultaneously with the Full Moon, makes the changes caused by this Uranus aspect a little more challenging to deal with. You’re being called at this time to have deep patience and a positive attitude as much as possible.

The Full Moon square Uranus aspect will likely make our lives feel shaky and unsteady, as mentioned above, and you may notice a lot of shifts and changes happening all around you. You may feel very unstable and unsure of which direction to focus your energy at this time. The Universe is helping us purge anything weak or shaky in our lives. Anything that withstands this “earthquake” is meant to stay with you, and anything that crumbles wasn’t meant to stay. Usually, we know that these things are meant to leave our lives, anyway, and the Universe is just giving us a little push to make the change. Release your fearful grip, and let that sh*t go! Do your best to be as non-resistant as possible to this process. Surrender and go with the flow :) 

As uncomfortable as this shake-up may seem, this Uranus energy also serves a higher purpose in our lives -- awakening our soul energy. When life rattles us, it causes us to literally WAKE UP. We begin to see things in a new light, change our perspective and even the way we consciously show up in the world. This shake-up can trigger moments of awakening or the surfacing of new wisdom and knowledge in our lives. It helps us clear the fog, and notice a brighter, or higher path!

As we allow the Universe to shake us up, we let go of all the things no longer meant for us. Things that were weak and crumbling get cleared from our lives to make way for new and stronger foundations and connections. As the dust falls to the ground, we will feel a sense of renewal and restoration. We will have a deep knowing and/or remembrance of who we are, what we’re meant to be doing, and which direction we’re meant to be heading.

• Lionsgate Portal - The Lionsgate Portal opens every year, and peaks on August 8th. As the Sun reaches the peak of Leo season, and the star, Sirius, reaches a high point in the sky, The Lionsgate Portal activates, sending insights, downloads, and divine messages down to us on Earth. The energy of the Lionsgate Portal is already brewing at the time of the Full Moon! This Full Moon will help illuminate the Portal energies as they grow stronger, and if we do our best to tune into them, we should start to receive intuitive wisdom, divine downloads, new ideas, and creative inspiration! This is an opportunity for some serious growth and progress, so do what you can to tap into it!

• Mercury Opposite Saturn - This aspect happens at the time of the Full Moon, and is typically associated with bad news, negative thinking, and mishandled situations. SO, to combat this energy: positive thinking, patience, kind words, and hard work will make the changes ahead much easier to handle. Don’t give into your own negativity, or anyone else’s! Take your time making decisions, and be clear and to the point with your communication, as misunderstandings could be high during this time. Do your best not to take things personally. Be patient and understanding, and keep your head down.

Card 1: What have I created and manifested since the new moon?

Draw: Ace of Pentacles

The Ace of Pentacles represents new ideas, the beginnings of a new venture or goal, manifesting power and potential, and the beginnings of prosperity and abundance. If you remember back to the energy of our New Moon this cycle, we were heavily influenced by Saturn energy. You were being pushed to work with determination and persistence towards long-term goals, and really start setting a solid foundation down for that goal to manifest in your life. Saturn is all about well-laid plans, and this card tells me that you guys DID. THE. WORK! This card represents the planting of seeds (goals/dreams) in your life, and the excellent care you took to really get this seed to sprout! This card is all about holding faith and optimism while you water and tend to your seed (goal/dream) in the ground without digging it up in impatience and frustration because you do not see the direct results of your efforts just yet. You did the work to figure out the best way to make this goal a reality and set up the perfect conditions for your future manifestation and success. Good job! The Page of Pentacles represents the manifestation of new opportunities, ambitions, new connections, financial opportunities, the exploration stage, and generally making your plans a reality. What impressive growth since the New Moon! From the Ace of Pentacles all the way to the Page of Pentacles! This card represents the beginning stages of the manifestation of your goals. So with the previous card, you laid your plans out, and you faithfully did the work to set yourself and your goal up for success. Now, you’re starting to see the results of your work, but likely it hasn’t wholly manifested itself in your life, just yet. You will probably be waiting for some other pieces of the puzzle to fall into place, and that’s okay! Know that they’re definitely on their way, and will arrive in your life in divine timing. Keep working diligently towards your goal! Right now, you’re in the perfect place to make your prosperity a reality (the suit of pentacles is all about prosperity/abundance/earth energy), so try to focus on ramping up your abundance, too. The Seven of Swords represents deception, betrayal, risk, and the universe bearing witness to true intentions. This card traditionally represents deception, betrayal, or even thievery in our lives at the hands of others, or possibly making a risky decision in our lives, as we’ve seen in past readings. But in this case, it is calling us to take a good, long, hard look at our lives and see where we’ve been deceiving ourselves and others. Have you been telling yourself and others that “you’re doing your best,” when you know deep down that you’re really not? Are you acting recklessly in any area of your life? Are you avoiding responsibilities right now? Taking a little more than you truly need? Only pretending everything is okay when it’s actually falling apart? These are tough questions to ask ourselves, but it is absolutely necessary that we cut the crap in our lives. You’re being called to get deeply honest, remind yourself of your morals and values, and act with major integrity from here on out. This level of self-deception will not carry you forward into your bright future, it will only continue to hold you back. Release the need for utilizing deception and white lies to feign perfection. Let yourself off the hook, and start rebuilding those areas that have fallen apart. And ask for help, guidance, and support when needed. You don’t ever have to do this kind of work alone. 

Card 5: How can I release and let go of these energies?

Draw: Six of Cups

The Six of Cups represents nostalgia, themes in your life, reconnecting with people from the past, and your inner child/future self. The Six of Cups calls us to reconcile our relationship with our past and our inner child/future self. You may be stuck in feelings of nostalgia, trying to relive the past, be haunted by the guilt of past mistakes, or continuously reliving the trauma of a terrible moment in your life. This card is calling you to do whatever it is you need to do to release these memories. Accept your humanness and forgive yourself for any mistakes you made in the past. Know that you did the best you could with the knowledge you had at the time. And even if you didn’t do your best at that moment, know that it is okay to make mistakes. Nobody is perfect, and continuing to beat yourself up over something from the past will only hold you back. Learn the lesson, and move on. The Nine of Pentacles represents spiritual and material satisfaction, personal achievement, inner peace, contentment, and milestones met and celebrated. The Nine of Pentacles is calling us to really take stock of all the things you’ve manifested into being, and more importantly, all of the personal changes you’ve gone through to get to this point in your life. When we’re in the thick of it, it’s hard to see how far we’ve traveled on our path, so take this moment to really look at how far you’ve come, and celebrate your successes! This card represents a moment of deep spiritual and material bliss, so lean into that energy as you release the need for perfection and the attachment to your past missteps. If harnessed correctly, this reflective and celebratory energy can help you move mountains in your life, so do your best to take a moment and bask in it! You deserve it!
